Hard drive data recovery is necessary for a number of reasons. A hard drive fails due to normal wear and tear, or due to mechanical problems after being hit or dropped by the device in which it was working. Sometimes data becomes inaccessible due to logical errors in the file system.
The first step in the hard drive data recovery process is diagnosing the problem. Initial FREE diagnosis takes up to 20 minutes, after which a hard drive failure is identified, a repair quote is provided and a forecast of how long the process of recovering information from a hard drive will take.
We check the hard drive and circuit board for external damage, run a media test to determine how stable the read/write heads are, and first estimate the level of data corruption.

Continued work can cause more damage
A miracle does not happen in this case, but rather the opposite. He can work after the first failure for a while, but then everything happens very quickly and ends sadly.
Don't try to solve the problem yourself. Do not use a recovery programs or utilities to fix damaged drive, especially if the drive is making strange noises.
Data Service – we successfully recover data from any hard drive failures type every day.
Let the experts help you!
HDD Capacity | Base Cost from, UAH: | Recoveries requiring Clean Room work to replace damaged mechanical parts, UAH: |
---|---|---|
up to 500 Gb | 2500 | 4500 |
from 500 Gb up to 1.5 Tb | 2800 | 5500 |
from 2 Tb up to 4 Tb | 3600 | 6500 |
from 5 Tb | 4400 | 8000 |
The cost of data recovery process will depend on the capacity of the drive and the problem it has. Basically there are three types of recovery:
The first type of data recovery is logical recovery (recovery using specialized data recovery software). At the same time, the hard drive itself can be physically completely workable and fully functional. These works include data recovery after formatting, data recovery after deletion, and so on.
Data recovery from a hard drive of the second type is recovery using specialized hardware and software. The second type involves extracting data from hard drives with electronics board failures, problems in the service area. A lot of disks start to seriously slow down the system when defects appear on the surfaces of magnetic platters, the so-called “slow responding bug”. That is, the hard drive itself in this case is faulty and we will save data from it without replacing the spare parts that are inside the Heads and Disk Assembly (HDA).
Mechanical refurbishment (also known as clean room data recovery from mechanically damaged hard drives), which involves replacing the internal parts of the hard drive in a clean area, is the third type. We have a dust free box in our lab where we can open the hard drive and replace damaged parts so we can recover your data. For example, the read/write heads in your drive move over magnetic platters (disks) on an air cushion several nanometers (i.e., billionths of a meter) thick. Even a fingerprint or a particle of smoke that gets on the magnetic plates under the read / write heads can seriously damage them.
After we have agreed with customer all the stages, we begin the process of accessing the data. Each hard drive is made up of sectors. If there is corrupted data in any number of these sectors, we have the ability to change the way hardware data accesses, using different algorithms to read maximum data from damaged drive. A modern 1TB hard drive has nearly 2 billion sectors, so data recovery can take several days. The reason we always have full image of the damaged drive so that we can work on recovering and recreating data from the image rather than directly from your drive. At Data Service company, we use the PC-3000 UDMA, which is leading combination of data recovery hardware and software that is widely recognized in the industry as the industry’s best for hard drive data recovery.
You only pay for the results you are satisfied with. Otherwise, you do not incur any financial costs.
After completing the order, we will definitely keep a duplicate of the recovered data until you make a backup copy of the recovered information at your place of use on an additional medium and notify us about it.
Order lead times are usually 2 to 5 business days. Urgent or emergency terms is available. The conditions of such orders are negotiated separately.
